William "Buck" Rogers uncovers a bronze dedication plaque for the New Corinth colony (BR25: "The Satyr").

New Corinth is a failed colony on Arkadis established by Major Jason Samos in April 25, 2464 CE, consisting of 116 persons.

The colony's failure occurs when a majority of the male inhabitants became affected by the Satyr virus in 2485 CE. Few of the women and children escaped the affects of this virus, to which they were biologically immune, although the men-cum-Satyrs eventually succumbed to their baser instincts and slaughtered the majority of them.

In a location far from the site, a Satyr-ized John Samos protects his family—wife Cyra, son Delph—through to 2492 CE.

It is in 2942 CE when Rogers is attacked by a Zewolf while investigating the New Corinth colony site with Twiki. Following this attack, he encounters Delph, who leads them to a small vineyard and hut where Delph and his mother live (BR25: "The Satyr").
