A tractor beam', called a force field by Draconians, is an energy-based field capable of repelling or moving objects.
Draconia employs the use of such a beam to retrieve Ranger 3, after three of the Draconian's Hatchet fighters tow the craft—by conjoining their ships' force field emitters in a triangular formation—into Draconia's range (BR25: "Awakening").
